At Fischer + Cie., I had the privilege of working on various projects, including the design of small series. Fischer + Cie. prides itself on being a custom watch manufacturer that offers unique timepieces and small series. One of the projects I worked on was the design of an anniversary watch for the SL Pagode Club Germany.

The concept for this watch was inspired by the iconic 1963 Mercedes SL speedometer. I aimed to capture the distinctive features of the speedometer, such as the round stripes reminiscent of art deco, as well as the typography and other elements that make it instantly recognizable. My goal was to translate these elements onto the watch dial effectively. I took charge of creating all the images, graphics, and print files for the watch.

The typography of the old speedometer is especially remarkable. The numbers 1, 2, and 4 show a certain dynamic through their cuts and are truly unique. Despite the many elements and colored accents, the speedometer is easy to read and clear. I designed the numbers 3 and 9 myself to complete the set for the dial.
